CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO PERFORM/PRESENT

Dear Colleagues,

The 2018 Western/Northwestern CBDNA Divisional Conference will be held March 21-24, 2018 at Sonoma State Universitys Green Music Center. A friendly reminder that we are taking applications for performance and presentation opportunities at the conference.

Located near the heart of Californias Wine Country, the Green Music Center features two phenomenal performing venues: Weill Hall, a gorgeous, world class concert hall with state-of-the-art acoustics, and Schroeder Hall, an intimate 240 seat recital hall that is ideally suited for chamber music.

Application information may be found at the WNW CBDNA website: wnwcbdna.org.

The deadline for all submissions is May 15, 2017.

Call for Recordings to Perform at 2018 WNW Division Conference
CALL FOR RECORDINGS TO PERFORM AT THE 2018 WNW CBDNA DIVISION CONFERENCE

September 2016

Dear Colleagues,

Planning is underway for the 2018 Western/Northwestern CBDNA Divisional Conference, March 21-24, 2018 at Sonoma State Universitys Green Music Center. This conference is a tremendous opportunity for us to celebrate outstanding performances by our colleagues from our two divisions and to engage in relevant interest sessions.

Located near the heart of Californias Wine Country, the Green Music Center features two phenomenal performing venues: Weill Hall, a gorgeous, world class concert hall with state-of-the-art acoustics, and Schroeder Hall, an intimate 240 seat recital hall that is ideally suited for chamber music.

We invite you to submit an application to bring your Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band or Chamber Wind Ensemble to perform at the conference. Recordings should be unedited live concert recording from AY 2016-17.

The deadline for submissions is May 15, 2017.

Call for Bids:

2018 CBDNA Western/Northwestern Divisional Conference, Host
Dates: March 9-12, 16-19, or 23-26, 2016
Deadline for Proposals: June 1, 2015

Notification will be made by June 15, 2015

The Process:
Interested parties should prepare a detailed proposal/budget for hosting the 2018 CBDNA joint Divisional Conference. The document should include descriptions and costs of facilities for lodging, conference site, and transportation (detailed below) using the following guidelines:

1. Host schools should have adequate professional and student staff and budget to effectively manage the conference. The host provides adequate facilities and support for concerts, rehearsals and warm up, meeting space, registration, transportation, and hospitality.
2. Geographic location should be considered with a major airport within proximity of the host school. Some consideration may be given to central location within the divisions as well as representation of areas of the divisions.
3. Audience attendance should be sufficient to justify the expense and time of performing groups.
4.
Minimal Considerations:
Meeting rooms
Rehearsal space for Intercollegiate Band
Space for social events
Hotel rooms (accommodate at least 250 daily rooms for the entire conference)
Concert hall rental and labor
Possible Resource room
Transportation to and from hotel to site (if necessary)
Recording capability
The 2014 conference schedule is below and can be used as a guide to our needs.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WHILE THERE WAS A BANQUET AT THE 2014 CONVENTION AS LISTED ABOVE, THERE WILL NOT BE A BANQUET AT THE 2016, AND ONE COULD ASSUME THAT THERE WILL NOT BE A BANQUET AT THE 2018 CONVENTION AS WELL.
