Call for bids
2018 CBDNA Western/Northwestern Divisional Conference, Host
Dates: March 9-12, 16-19, or 23-26, 2016 Deadline for Proposals: June 1, 2015 Submit to:
Daniel Schmidt
Director of Bands
Northern Arizona University
Flagstaff, AZ 86001
Notification will be made by June 15, 2015

The Process:
Interested parties should prepare a detailed proposal/budget for hosting the 2018 CBDNA joint Divisional Conference. The document should include descriptions and costs of facilities for lodging, conference site, and transportation (detailed below) using the following guidelines:

1. Host schools should have adequate professional and student staff and budget to effectively manage the conference. The host provides adequate facilities and support for concerts, rehearsals and warm up, meeting space, registration, transportation, and hospitality.
2. Geographic location should be considered with a major airport within proximity of the host school. Some consideration may be given to central location within the divisions as well as representation of areas of the divisions.
3. Audience attendance should be sufficient to justify the expense and time of performing groups.
4.
Minimal Considerations:
Meeting rooms
Rehearsal space for Intercollegiate Band
Space for social events
Hotel rooms (accommodate at least 250 daily rooms for the entire
conference)
Concert hall rental and labor
Possible Resource room
Transportation to and from hotel to site (if necessary)
Recording capability
The 2014 conference schedule is below and can be used as a guide to our needs.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WHILE THERE WAS A BANQUET AT THE 2014 CONVENTION AS LISTED ABOVE, THERE WILL NOT BE A BANQUET AT THE 2016, AND ONE COULD ASSUME THAT THERE WILL NOT BE A BANQUET AT THE 2018 CONVENTION AS WELL.
